ISTE Advice?

I was excited when I learned that ISTE2011 will be held in Philadelphia. That means it is realistic to attend: thanks to the economy, anything further than 30 miles from the school district is not an accepted expense.

Also a requirement for my Masters degree in Learning Technologies is I have to apply to present my project in some way at a conference. ISTE just happens to fall a month after the project will be finished. I might not get in – but I am still going to apply. The ISTE website says that ‘the call for participation’ is going to open Sept. 15th and everything will be done online. I’m curious to know what the application is going to look like.

Anyone have any advice for conference registration for ISTE or technology conferences in general?
